Emilio Slaviero – Violin Bow, Cremona, c. 2000

A powerful yet elegant violin bow by Emilio Slaviero, made in Cremona around the year 2000. Slaviero, a distinguished Italian archetier, is known for his meticulous craftsmanship, deeply rooted in the French tradition while expressing a personal, distinctly Italian aesthetic.

This bow features a beautifully balanced round stick of first-class pernambuco, mounted in gold with an ebony frog and distinctive pearl eyes. The workmanship is clean and assured, inspired by Peccatte, with precise detailing throughout. Tonally, the bow offers depth, warmth and lots of bite, with a firm yet responsive feel — ideal for a player seeking clarity, nuance, and control.

Origin: Cremona, Italy, c. 2000

Condition: Very good, with minimal signs of use (there is just a repair to a small crack on the frog)

“A bow of distinguished luxury and responsive strength — a modern classic from the heart of Cremona.”
